As a student in The Hague you can get care from one of three general practitioners for students: the StudentDoc, Biking Doctors The Hague and Shams. Why? Because the number of students in The Hague continues to grow. And as a student you sometimes have specific health questions. Before receiving care you will need to register with your personal details, Dutch healthcare insurance and citizen service number (BSN).
The StudentDoc has two practices in the center of The Hague: the main location is on the Boomsluiterskade and there is a practice on the Stationsweg. In addition to general medical care, the practice pays special attention to questions concerning: staying healthy during student life | stress | birth control | STDs | quit smoking.
Biking Doctors The Hague
The GP at Biking Doctors does things a little differently. You have direct contact with the GP, there is no assistant. You can get a consult by telephone, via a video call or via the app. Or the doctor hop on a bike will come to visit you for a consultation! Prefer to come by? Then you can at the Babylon Hotel.
General practice Shams
The two practices are located near station Hollands Spoor. Around 40% of the patients is student and about 80% of them are international students. In the first practice the doctor speaks Dutch, English and Russian. At the second practice there is a doctor of Chinese medicine too.
