“Celebrate freedom in Student City The Hague”
Bigger and better – come to the HI The Hague Student Experience at the Malieveld on May 5th from 12:00 PM. It will be an edition full of music, connection, and freedom. The place where you can vibe all day to the best tracks, participate in cool activities, and take on sporting challenges. And the best part? Everything for a real student price: free!
Music, action, and fun
Get to know the student associations in The Hague, each showcasing their ‘personality’. The HI The Hague Events student committee will announce the city-wide introduction program for new students in August. Major student associations such as Intac, HSV, and Interaccess are ready with fun, student-oriented attractions and activities. Student rowing association Pelargos challenges you to a fierce rowing challenge that is guaranteed to make you sweat. You will also discover which other student sports associations the city has to offer.
Community, club, and creativity
New this year: there is more space for meeting with the student associations, complete with a sunny terrace and a stronger focus on art and creativity. Students from the Royal Academy of Visual Arts are realizing interactive art projects, and architecture students from The Hague University of Applied Sciences are building a striking landmark as a student-friendly eye-catcher on the grounds. Inholland students are standing by with polaroids.

The best student DJs from The Hague are performing here for you. Get ready for a spectacular club experience! Ais, the winner of the HI The Hague Student DJ Contest, is performing on the Sena Performers Stage! You can hear all the other great sets from the DJ booth in the HI The Hague Student Experience.

Around 16:00, Chairs of the Executive Boards of educational institutions in The Hague will jointly unveil the new HI The Hague introduction week program. The moment will be reinforced by a large photo opportunity where students come together en masse – a powerful symbol of connectedness, diversity, and the energy of The Hague as a student city.
HI The Hague Student Experience = energy, talent, and connection
Over the past few years, the HI The Hague Student Experience has grown into an inclusive event where the student city of The Hague comes together. From vocational education to university, from technical talents to creatives, and with current and future leaders. In collaboration with the Municipality of The Hague and educational institutions, the student city of The Hague presents a day where music, connection, and freedom take center stage. “You celebrate freedom in The Hague, Student City.”

Freedom
The Hague, city of Peace and Justice is the perfect place to celebrate that we are free in the Netherlands and to show support for those who are not. The education institutions in The Hague want to contribute to this. The theme of freedom not only fits in seamlessly with our education and research, but also affects our students. We therefore want to celebrate peace with students, prospective students and all other interested parties, but also encourage people to think about what peace and freedom mean for everyone.
