Studiefinanciering en BSN
Nadat je je hebt aangemeld voor een studie kun je studiefinanciering aanvragen. Als je via DUO studiefinanciering hebt aangevraagd, krijg jij – alleen als je student vanuit het Caribisch gebied bent, anderen moeten dit zelf aanvragen – automatisch een burgerservicenummer (BSN). Daarmee kun je voor vertrek naar Nederland een DigiD aanvragen. Je hebt een DigiD nodig om verschillende zaken te regelen.

Woonruimte zoeken
Begin zo vroeg mogelijk met het zoeken naar woonruimte! Er is een tekort aan woonruimte in en rond Den Haag. Het niet onmogelijk om iets te vinden, maar omdat veel andere studenten ook woonruimte proberen te vinden is er veel concurrentie. Ga dus zo snel mogelijk op zoek naar een kamer of woning. Student finance and BSN
After you have registered for a study, you can apply for student finance. If you have applied for student finance via DUO, you will automatically receive a citizen service number (BSN) – only if you are a student from the Caribbean, others must apply for this themselves. You can use this to apply for a DigiD before leaving for the Netherlands. You need a DigiD to arrange various matters.

Find accommodation
Start looking for accommodation as early as possible! There is a shortage of accommodation in and around The Hague.
