Did you know The Hague is one of the greenest cities in Europe? It has more trees than inhabitants! There are dozens of parks and forests where you can take walks, cycle, play sports and have a picnic. Each park or forest has its own special features, such as the Japanese garden in Clingendael Park, where you can see rare trees and plants. During the festival season you can visit events in various parks. Who knows, you might suddenly come face to face with a Scottish highlander in one of the nature reserves. You can even barbecue in Westbroekpark and Zuiderpark.
