As a Student Reporter, you’ll capture the excitement of HI The Hague events and the vibrant student life in The Hague, sharing unforgettable moments with the community through engaging videos.

We make content for Instagram, and share on TikTok and YouTube too.

About HI The Hague

HI The Hague is ‘the club’ to be part of if you are a student in The Hague. For and by students. We organize the official introduction program for all students in The Hague, in collaboration with the educational institutions and the municipality of The Hague. Join by participating in events and join on social media – HI The Hague is the online ánd offline hub for all students in The Hague. Through our own events and through social media content about student city The Hague. We bring students together from all over The Hague to get to know the city and create a fun and welcoming student community. To make you feel Home In The Hague.

Position Details

  • Term: February – December 2026
  • Commitment: About 8 - 12 hours per week, flexibly scheduled
  • Compensation: This is a volunteer role, but you can receive a board grant via your school
  • Application Deadline: Tuesday December 9, 2025

What You’ll Do

  • Brainstorming: With the help of a coach and your team, you’ll write creative content plans.
  • Planning: Once the plans are approved, you’ll schedule video shoots with your team.
  • Video shoots: You’ll film and/or conduct short, engaging interviews with students.
  • Editing: You’ll edit the videos so they can be shared on HI The Hague’s Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. 
  • Evaluate: You’ll experiment with different types of content to find what works best.

Who We’re Looking For

  • You’re passionate about social media, content creation and video production! Experience in content creation or video editing is a bonus.
  • You are organized and know how to stay on top of things.
  • You are a dedicated team member, both good at working independently and together.
  • You can work under pressure, are flexibel and (of course) have social skills.
  • You’ll need to be a student in The Hague from March to December 2026.
  • Your English is good, as team meetings and communications are in English.
